Baked Barbecued Chicken

fine dried bread crumbs

brown sugar

chili powder

garlic powder

dried mustard

celery seed

bone-in skinless chicken drum sticks

butter, melted

salt & pepper

Combine bread crumbs, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, dry mustard, celery seed & cayenne pepper.

Season chicken with salt & pepper.

Brush, dip or roll chicken pieces in melted butter, then coat with crumb mixture. Arrange chicken in 13x9" glass baking dish. Sprinkle with additional crumb mixture if needed. Bake uncovered in a 375° oven about 50 minutes or until tender. Do not turn.

Remove chicken from bone prior to serving, and arrange two legs per plate with your favorite barbecue sauce as a dipping sauce on the side.

Recommend Austin's Own Barbecue sauce, or KC Masterpiece, or Bulls Eye. Recommended side dishes for this recipe are creamed potatoes and super sweet corn off the cob.
