Apple Crisp

quick-cooking rolled oats
packed brown sugar

plus 2 Tbs all purpose flour
tsp
ground cinnamon

butter

apples, Granny Smith or Jonagold
granulated sugar
TOPPING
vanilla ice cream, or
freshly whipped cream

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon & dash of salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.

Peal, core & slice apples arranging them in a 13x9x2" baking dish. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and toss to coat.
Sprinkle crumb mixture over all. Bake in a 350° oven for 40 - 45 minutes.
